Bergenia Dark Margin
It’s a low growing, evergreen perennial with rounded green leaves with red undersides that grow from a wandering fleshy root and barely rise free of the ground. In mid to late spring the plants sends up short,  thick stems, often purple that end in a radiating cluster of small, magenta-pink flowers. In winter, the leaves turn shades of maroon. By spring, some may look weatherbeaten and should be removed.

This bergenia provides excellent all year groundcover and contrasts well with feathery fern fronds and strap-like iris leaves. It deserve a place in any garden as a year-round performer.

Bergenia Eroica
Eroica is more cold tolerant than other forms. The bright purple blooms last up to two weeks longer than other varieties we have grown. Flowers hover above heart shaped leaves that are marbled with blotches of burgundy.  Very dramatic effect when planted as a ground cover in shaded areas. Bergenia thrives in moist soil that is high in organic matter so make sure to amend properly and water during dry spells.

Bergenia Herbstblute
Medium sized, oval, mid-green leaves with stout, pink stems topped with clusters of clear pink flowers. It has the ability to bloom during the summer as well as the autumn.
Very easy to grow. Remove spent flower stems, and old leaves as required. Great for very dry shady areas, including under trees.

Bergenia Magic Giant
Large rosettes of leathery, glossy dark-green leaves tinted purple and turning purple-bronze in winter. It has showy, rosy, pink colored flowers in April appearing in dense panicles above the foliage. Clump forming, Elephant Ears are primarily grown as ground cover.

Bergenia Pink Dragonfly
This Bergenia is incredibly hardy, and reliably evergreen throughout nearly the entire continent. This selection forms a low clump of long and narrow green leaves, which develop rich plum-red tones in the winter. Taller stems of bell-shaped coral-pink flowers rise above the shiny foliage in mid spring. Most effective when mass planted or used as an edging along a walkway. Tolerates a wide range of soil conditions, in both sun or part shade. Easily divided in spring or early fall.

Bergenia is a large leaved, showy, perennial herb growing up to 50cm. Flowers are pink to purple in large spikes. Individual flowers are approximately 2cm across with 5 bright pink petals, 10 red stamens with white anthers and 3 styles and stigmas. Leaves are broad and up to 25cm long.
