Hibiscus Fantasia

Hibiscus Fantasia®
The compact and hardy 'Fantasia' is a vigorous hibiscus that produces lots of ruffled, lavender flowers in the heat of summer. This semi-woody perennial was introduced by Fleming's Flower Fields, Inc. in Lincoln, Nebraska and blooms over a long period from midsummer to frost. Even longer if planted in a subtropical area.

Hibiscus Fireball

Hibiscus Fireball®
Hardy and bushy, 'Fireball' is an excellent hibiscus that is the result of extensive hybridization. This upright, semi-woody perennial has deeply lobed green leaves, similar in shape to maple leaves, with purple overtones. This is a long-blooming plant that flowers from midsummer to frost. The exceptional flowers are rich red and plate-sized. Individual flowers last only one day, though several dozen can be on one plant at a time.

Hibiscus Jazzberry Jam®
Without a doubt the cold-hardiest Hibiscus yet, 'Jazzberry Jam' brings the joy of this tropical-looking shrub into the far north! From midsummer into autumn, it sets masses upon masses of giant blooms. The growing and flowering season may be a bit shorter in the colder climates, but these blooms are large, profuse, and showstopping in any setting, and 'Jazzberry Jam' is certain to become the focal point of the sunny garden!

Hibiscus Kopper King

Hibiscus Kopper King®
A hardy hibiscus, 'Kopper King' has leaves that are a coppery red on top and orange-red underneath. Large (25 to 30 cm across) ruffly white to pale pink flowers bloom from midsummer to mid-fall if you deadhead. 'Kopper King' dies back to the ground in autumn and is late to break dormancy in the spring. It should be interplanted with spring bulbs and overplanted with winter annuals; that way you'll get color year round without disturbing the hibiscus.

Hibiscus Old Yella

Hibiscus Old Yella®
This hardy hibiscus, ‘Old Yella,' is a shrubby, herbaceous perennial with upright, branching stems, a partly woody base, and enormous flowers. A selection of a species native to the eastern U.S., it blooms with red-centered, pale yellow flowers the size of dinner plates that last for two to three days and are replaced continuously from mid summer to frost by new flowers from multiple clusters of buds. The plant is upright yet also broadly spreading and the flowers tend to face outward, with several fully open at a time.

Hibiscus Plum Crazy

Hibiscus Plum Crazy®
Crimsoneyed rosemallow is a wonderful hardy hibiscus for large summer gardens. This semi-woody species originates from central and eastern North America and has an upright, shrubby habit. Its leaves are large, sometimes lobed and have a soft texture. From summer to fall enormous disc-shaped flowers of white with striking red centers appear.

Hibiscus Robert Fleming

Hibiscus Rober Flemming®
Compact, lush-growing and extremely hardy, 'Robert Fleming' is an excellent hibiscus that is the result of extensive hybridization. This semi-woody perennial has medium-sized, oval, green leaves that resemble those of the bigleaf hydrangea. This is a long-blooming plant that flowers from midsummer to frost, longer if in a subtropical garden. The exceptional flowers are large, uniquely rich, deep red with five lightly ruffled petals. The center of each bloom is an even darker red.

The solid purple leaves of this hardy Hibiscus are ovate and undercurl slightly giving a puffed appearance. The 12" pink flowers are very overlapping and almost glow set against the dark foliage, a perfect color compliment.

Hibiscus Summer Storm

Hibiscus Summer Storm®
The hardy forms of Hibiscus are valued for their showy late summer display of enormous satiny blooms. These flower best in areas with long, hot summers. This new selection forms an upright, bushy mound of dark wine-purple, maple-like foliage which in itself makes a fabulous addition to  a sunny border. In midsummer, marvel at the added benefit of huge pink flowers with rose veining and magenta eye, lasting into early fall. Longer blooming than other varieties. The number of lobes on each leaf increases as the foliage matures. Requires direct sunlight to develop the dark foliage. Attractive to hummingbirds.
