Asclepias tuberosa
Asclepias tuberosa or American silk plant is an orange flowering perennial. The stems are usually upright and are ruwbehaard. Asclepias tuberosa has a tuberous Rhizome. The location should be dry and sunny.Is easy to combine with other orange flowering perennials such as Geum and Potentilla-cultivars. Also a combination with orange Helenium cultivars and Kniphofia, is worth a try.

Asclepias incarnata Ice Ballet
Easily grown in medium to wet soils in full sun. Surprisingly tolerant of average well-drained soils in cultivation even though the species is native to swamps and wet meadows. Plants have deep taproots and are best left undisturbed once established. Foliage is slow to emerge in spring.Flowers are very attractive to butterflies as a nectar source.

Asclepias incarnata Soulmate
This forms a tall, upright clump of long green leaves, bearing clusters of cherry-pink flowers with a tiny white centre. These have a delightful vanilla fragrance and are a favourite of butterflies. Certain types of butterflies also lay their eggs specifically on this plant, which the larvae use for food. Useful in the perennial border or wildflower meadow, and very easy. Seed pods are nice in dried arrangements, and may be picked just before they open. Good for cutting.
