A showy cultivar of this low, spreading, vigorous herbaceous perennial, It bears shallow-cupped red-purple flowers in late spring and early summer. As with most forms of this southern European native, its fragrant, fuzzy, sticky, lobed leaves are apple-green, turning bronze-red in fall.
